Description: You are an Architect or Architectural Designer with a minimum of six years of experience working with a variety of building and project types. You’re passionate about building design with strong organizational skills and ability to create drawings in Revit and AutoCad.

A day in the life of a Job Captain at VLMK:
-You will work with a close-knit team where your contribution will be highly valued.
-Your project management and design skills will be put to the test as you prepare effective building designs and presentation materials.
-You will work with other designers and engineers to prepare plan documents for a wide variety of light industrial buildings, developments and tenant improvements to serve a diverse group of clients.
-You will coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team.
-Your demonstrated abilities will help you prepare construction documents and renderings in Revit, including attention to code reviews and envelope detailing.
-You will be part of a team that does food cart Fridays, ski trips, chili cook-offs, running groups, golf tournaments, etc. and appreciates your participation.

MUST have:
-A minimum of an Associate Degree, Bachelors strongly preferred.
-A minimum of six years of relevant experience preparing building construction documents and coordinating with a team.
-Be proficient in Revit and AutoCad.

Nice to have:
-Architectural degree and license.
-Experience with other 3D modeling and rendering applications (SketchUp, 3d Max, Illustrator, etc.)
-A friendly personality.

Description: You are a Structural Engineer with 0 to 4 years of experience. You’re passionate about engineering and have the drive to learn and broaden your experience with a variety of project and building types.

A day in the life of a Structural Engineer at VLMK:
-You will work with a close-knit team where your contribution will be highly valued.
-You will analyze, design, and draft (or oversee drafting) for a range of project types utilizing concrete, steel, wood, and masonry structures.
-You will see the whole scope of a project and work on it from start to finish…we’re not looking for a robot or factory line worker.
-You will work directly with our Principal staff and project managers.
-You will be part of a team that does food cart Fridays, ski trips, chili cook-offs, running groups, golf tournaments, etc. and appreciates your participation

MUST have:
-A Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering with EIT registration is required to apply for this position.
-Ability to prioritize and successfully complete multiple assignments in a fast paced work environment.

Nice to have:
-Master’s Degree
-PE license
-Experience with structural design of commercial and industrial buildings.
-Proficiency with RISA, RAM, ENERCALC, and similar analysis tools. Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit could also be beneficial.
-A friendly personality with a desire to learn and grow professionally.
-Construction knowledge, maybe from previous part time work.

Description: You are a Structural Drafter/3D Modeler who has experience creating construction drawings and models for buildings. You are passionate about applying your AutoCad and Revit skills for a variety of building structure types.

As a Structural Drafter at VLMK:
-You will work with a close-knit team where your contribution will be highly valued.
-You will sharpen your Revit skills as you prepare building plans and details.
-You will work with our Structural Engineers to prepare plan documents for a wide range of project types utilizing concrete, steel, wood, and masonry structures.
-You will prepare initial layouts and designs with limited direction.
-You will be part of a team that does food cart Fridays, ski trips, chili cook-offs, running groups, golf tournaments, and more, and appreciates your participation.

MUST have:
-Very strong computer skills.
-Experience working in the architecture/engineering industry with AutoCad or Revit.
-Ability to prioritize and successfully complete multiple assignments in a fast paced work environment.
-Ability to learn and retain information efficiently.
-Desire to grow and be a productive team member.

Nice to have:
-Familiarity with other 3D modeling and rendering applications.
-Knowledge of building structures or related construction experience.
-Good Microsoft Office skills.
-College education.
