ST. ANTHONY'S MIDDLE SCHOOL

This gymnasium addition infuses natural light into the sports and activity venue at the St. Anthony's Middle School campus. The concrete tilt-up and steel stud walls are supported by structural steel with a conventional spread footing foundation system were utilized. The clear spanned roof structure features exposed open web steel joists and steel deck. The building's lateral load resisting system consists of concrete shear walls and steel stud plywood sheathed shear walls.

OREGON EPISCOPAL SCHOOL
PORTLAND, OR

VLMK provided structural engineering services for the new Math, Science & Technology Building at Oregon Episcopal School, a private institution located in Portland, Oregon. The three story steel framed structure comprises approximately 26,300 square feet. The building features a large glass clerestory, elaborate cantilevered steel and aluminum canopies, and a unique combination of brick veneer and cement plaster cladding. The structural system utilizes a steel frame, concrete shear walls, and cost-effective composite concrete floors.
