LA FITNESS INTERNATIONAL
VARIOUS SITES

VLMK has completed over two dozen LA Fitness centers in Oregon, Washington and Texas. Each structure used a variety of materials and presented unique site challenges. Most consist of 42,000 square foot main floors with 3,000 square foot mezzanines. The structures utilize solid grouted CMU, metal deck roofs, open web steel joists, hanging soffits, and wood trusses in the basketball courts.

THE LODGE AT GOVERNMENT CAMP
MT. HOOD, OR

This beautiful three story lodge is in the heart of the popular Mt. Hood recreation area. The wood-framed lodge echoes the details of the historic Timberline Lodge. It consists of 11,460 square feet of retail space on the main floor and eight living units above. The roof was designed to withstand extreme snow conditions with 455 pounds per square foot.

FAIRFIELD INN & SUITES
BURLINGTON, WA

This Skagit Valley's hotel provides an inviting and welcoming appearance. The three story building was wood framed using gang nail trusses. It is built on a pile foundation due to poor soil conditions.

SCHLITTERBAHN WATER PARK
GALVESTON, TX

This popular attraction is a tidal wave river ride approximately one mile long. VLMK provided structural design for a 48,500 SF retractable cover at this water theme park. The design features a continuous series of single story A-frame structures of retractable 10 foot polycarbonate curtains.

DUKE'S CASINO
SPARKS, NV

The renovation and new addition to Duke's Casino, originally constructed in the early 1930's, provides a fresh façade and character to a well known landmark. A complete renovation and structural upgrade was undertaken to the existing 13,000 square foot building.
