Sparks Crossing is a new 330,000 square foot retail center featuring well-known major tenants such as Best Buy, Old Navy, Bed Bath & Beyond, Office Max, Ross Dress for Less, Cost Plus and Michaels.  The center consists of 13 shell buildings built with steel decking, partially grouted CMU, and open web steel joists.  Two general contractors with separate subcontractor teams were used to speed construction.  One contractor provided value engineering for the entire project.  One of the value engineering changes made during construction was a change of materials, requiring VLMK to respond quickly to the request such that construction could proceed as planned.
