Nyberg Woods

The new 200,000 square foot Nyberg Woods shopping center revitalized this former motel property.  Located adjacent to Interstate 5 in this rapidly growing area, the development includes three anchor buildings and two small retail shop buildings.  The center reflects a Tuscany style architecture with heavy timber used throughout and distinctive twin 65-foot towers over framed on the roof.  The center was built using concrete tilt-up, while the shop buildings were built with steel studs, open web steel joists and steel deck.  Situated on a severely restricted site, significant retaining walls were used along the front of the development and covered with brick veneer.  All wood used was fire treated, including the over framing which is steel stud framing sheathed with fire-treated plywood.
