Portland State University Parking Garage – Portland, OR

Located in the heart of Southwest Portland is the Portland State University parking structure.  Several phases of evaluation and design were provided for this existing 168,000 square foot structure, though never constructed.  A portion of the sloped floor garage area was retrofitted to provide additional street level commercial space.  A structural evaluation was prepared in accordance with FEMA-178 guidelines.  Finally, two additional levels of parking were designed to sit atop the existing five levels.  This included a complete upgrade of the existing structure to comply with current code requirements.

Tigard Corporate Center – Tigard, OR

The Tigard Corporate Center Parking Garage was constructed with cast-in-place concrete.  This 111,500 square foot, four-story parking structure provides approximately 350 parking spaces.  Recognized with awards for Excellence in Concrete, it utilizes post-tension concrete parking decks and interior concrete shear walls.  Exterior concrete spandrels achieve an architecturally pleasing look blending well with the other structures in the development.  VLMK provided stormwater management using a cartridge filter vault system.
