Russellville Commons – Portland, OR
With 478 apartment units and townhouses, this complex also features an additional 20,000 square feet of supporting commercial space. Phase One was started in 1998 and completed in 1999. Individual parking garages were provided for some of the units, and a post tensioned concrete common garage for general use. Phase Two of this project, four stories of wood framed apartments over a post-tensioned concrete parking garage, was completed in 2004.
Russellville Phase II – Portland, OR
This phase of the Russellville senior living project is comprised of a single five-story building. The 215,000 square feet of space includes 154 living units, 72 parking spaces, cafeteria and support areas, and commercial lease space. Construction includes cast-in-place and post-tension concrete at the main level, with four stories of conventional wood framing above. Masonry is also used at the lower perimeter of the building to provide a classic feel and provide visual compatibility with adjacent buildings.
Russellville III – Portland, OR
This 205,500 square foot senior and assisted living facility incorporates many features in a small amount of space. A picturesque 14,000 square foot interior courtyard complete with water quality planters sits atop a below grade 125 car parking area. The three- and four-story building includes a basement and a small amount of leaseable office space. VLMK provided both structural and civil engineering services for this urban east-side project located along the MAX commuter line. VLMK provided all onsite civil design and the public improvement design for all four public roadways that encircle this development.
