Herzog Meier

A striking color palette makes the facades of this new Herzog Meier showroom addition pop as viewed from Tualatin Valley Highway in Beaverton.  The new 1,950 square foot showroom building consists of exterior steel stud framed plywood sheathed walls and a structural steel framed roof with steel deck.  The front facades include dramatic angled tube steel canopies that extend across the length of the building on two sides.  The new building also includes a cold-formed steel joist mezzanine.  A significant porte-cochere drive-through canopy covers the area between the new building addition and an existing metal service building.  VLMK provided structural engineering and construction phase services.
