Stockyards Commerce Center

Located adjacent to the Portland Expo Center, The Stockyards Commerce Center is recognized as one of the most successful multi-tenant industrial parks in the Rivergate Industrial Corridor.  The development includes four buildings designed to accommodate a multitude of small and large size tenants.  The 25-acre phased development included the removal of the historic Stockyards Exchange facilities, from which the concrete was crushed and utilized as base rock for the new construction.  VLMK worked through multiple master plans devised to retain the Red Steer Restaurant and the unreinforced masonry Stockyards Exchange Building, but both were later torn down due to prohibitive costs to upgrade.  Environmental remediation of the site included the installation of ground water cleansing and monitoring systems.  The two rail-served buildings were designed with 30 foot clear height, ESFR sprinklers, and heavy industrial slabs.  The two buildings fronting Marine Drive were designed to be turned into multiple tenant spaces ranging from 3,000 square feet up to 70,000 square feet.  VLMK continues to provide consulting services on numerous tenant build-outs in the 450,000 square foot industrial complex.
