Hillsboro, OR

When the largest US manufacturer of crystalline photovoltaic (PV) systems requested a design-build proposal to construct a new 213,000 square foot manufacturing facility at their Hillsboro campus, Turner Construction turned to VLMK for their expertise.  As the prime architectural and engineering consultant, VLMK worked closely with Turner and their design-build subcontractors to design, permit and construct a state-of-the-art moduling and logistics facility within 10 months of the awarded contract.  The concrete tilt-up structure required 106-foot clear-span girders and a substantial slab-on-grade to provide flexibility in accommodating the unknown tooling layout within the 90,000 square foot PV Moduling building.
