Columbia Sportswear's 880,000 square foot distribution warehouse facility features three-level catwalk storage racking and an automated conveyor system.  It also houses 30,000 square feet of office and employee areas.  Constructed over four phases, the facility is designed to comply with FM Global Standards for warehouse storage.  It is divided into six areas separated by four-hour MFL (Maximum Foreseeable Loss) area separation walls.  The building is protected with an ESFR sprinkler system.  This innovative system was constructed before the concept was recognized by building codes.
